Six of our freshmen joined the rest of the SFHS Dons winning the 5A Baseball State Championship!! Way to go, boys!!

Just a few reminders as we go into our last day of school tomorrow:
Students
will not be allowed to bring backpacks to school. If a student does
bring a bag, they will write their name and 7th
period teacher on
their bag and place it in the front office.
During
5th and 6th period,
office TA's will take the bags to the teachers listed on the
backpacks to return
to their students at the beginning of 7th period. When
7th period starts, please take attendance, return any backpacks that
have been delivered, and then wait for the announcement to bring your
students to the gyms (around 10:30). If the students are not in class to
retrieve their backpacks, please return it to the front office.

Some of our 8th graders are making connections across our Civil War unit with hexagonal thinking! Each hexagon represents an important person, event, or idea — and students work together to figure out how it all fits. It’s been fun to see them make thoughtful connections and show a deeper understanding of the history we’ve been learning.

Three students from Spanish Fork Junior High participated in the annual Nebo District Poetry Slam on Tuesday, April 29.
Jay Tolman, a freshman, and Livvy Ryskamp and Alexis Henricksen, both eighth-graders, were part of a program showcasing 15 of the best junior high slam poets from five junior high schools. All three had wonderful performances that were well appreciated by the audience of approximately 120 friends and family members.
All three students are members of the after-school Writing Club. Congratulations on your accomplishment, students! And keep writing.

Our US History students were able to visit the Spanish Fork Police Department and 4th District Court. We had a great time and learned so much! Thanks so much to SFPD and everyone at the courthouse!!
