Payson Jr. Lunch Activity Fun!
At Payson Junior High, we believe in recognizing students for their hard work and positive choices! Each month, thanks to the support of our administration and counseling team, we host a fun lunch activity as a reward for students who are meeting key academic and behavioral goals. These incentives are based on attendance, passing grades, and low detention hours, encouraging students to stay engaged and responsible. Our goal is to motivate and celebrate our Grizzlies while fostering a positive school culture.

Shark Drink Activity
The Shark Drink Activity kicked off the 2024-25 school year with a splash! As our first event of the year, students had a fin-tastic time creating their own ocean-inspired drinks with a fun, shark-themed twist. From blue slushies to fruity punch, they enjoyed mixing flavors and sipping their refreshing creations. It was a jawsome way to start the year, bringing students together for a cool and engaging experience! 🦈🌊
"Teacher's Pets" Lunch Activity
Our recent Teacher’s Pet Lunch Activity was a big hit with students! To qualify for this fun event, students had to be passing all their classes with no Fs, promoting academic success and accountability. During lunch, students got to meet real-life pets from their teachers—including Mr. Mecham’s fascinating homing pigeons! A fun guessing game added to the excitement as students matched teachers to their pets using creative clues. The lunch was filled with laughter, surprises, and lots of smiles as students celebrated their hard work and got to see a more personal side of their teachers.
BYU RUGBY x PAYSON JUNIOR HIGH - FIELD DAY!
Payson Jr. High and BYU Men's Rugby team joined forces to create an exciting and inclusive field day for the students. Schools in the area were invited to join in the fun. Ms. Gatherum did an amazing job coordinating this event and hopes that this partnership continues to create more Field days in the future with PJHS students.
